Water - Sewer - Gas
The City of Madison is pleased to be able to offer convenient and efficient utility service to the public. To establish or relocate utility service, contact the Utilities Clerk at (706) 342-1251 x221. You may download the Utility Service Application here. Please make sure you complete the application, sign and include a copy of your driver's license. If you are currently renting or leasing, we also need a copy of your lease agreement. To cancel service you may also download the Utility Service Disconnection Application. We have a variety of ways for you to return your applications; you may email (llemon@madisonga.com), fax (706-342-3454), mail (P.O. Box 32, Madison, GA 30650) or drop off at City Hall (132 N. Main Street, Madison, Georgia).
Appointments* for service establishment may be made for 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 3:30 p.m. Tuesday thru Thursday: please contact City Hall to schedule an appointment.

Water
Madison provides clean and reliable water service. The refundable deposit see (Schedule of Fees) may be refunded thirty (30) days after moving beyond the service area.
Sewer
Completion of the Utility Service Application is all that is necessary to establish wastewater service. No deposit is required.
Gas

Gas service is easy to establish and there are incentives for the use of gas appliances (such as water heaters, furnaces, logs, ranges, dryers, etc.) The refundable deposit (see Schedule of Fees) may be returned thirty (30) days after moving beyond the service area.
*Owner or responsible adult must be present during the appointment. City employee will unlock the meter; however, the owner is responsible for lighting all pilot lights.
System Connection
If you are proposing or engaged in construction and you need to connect to the water, sewer or gas systems, please contact the City Manager's Office at (706) 342-1251 x202 as soon as possible to confirm availability, current capacity, and fees (see Schedule of Fees). Please make no assumptions regarding utility taps; call for information.
