Main Street, Shred It!, Morgan County celebrates Earth Day with a community-wide document shred at Town Park. We're encouraging a once-a-year clean up for residents of Madison and Morgan County. Along with paper documents Morgan County invites residents to bring along, special, hard to recycle items to this special event.

NAACP Black History Parade & Festival

A day-long celebration of local black heritage. The day starts with a parade of bands, floats, and groups marching through downtown, and continues with speakers, food, crafters, and entertainment. This is a Town Park rental event. 

Madison Fest - A Garden & Crafts Celebration!

A Main Street's annual home and garden show and sale in Town Park. This day-long event presents informative demos and lectures, the best in local and regional hand-made arts and crafts, live music, and great food. Admission is free to the public. Vendor registration forms available.

Madison in May Spring Tour of Homes

Memorial Day Ceremony

Join Main Street, the American Legion, and, about 1,000 motorcyclists participating in the Annual Ride for America, in Town Park for a patriotic Memorial Day Ceremony honoring the men and women who have died while in military service to our nation. This is a partner event.

Firefly Festival (2 days!)

Main Street invites you to celebrate the end of summer with this two-evening festival in Town Park. Bring the kids on Friday and enjoy an affordable family night. On Saturday evening we turn down the lights and invite you to enjoy our Date Night Twilight Concert.

Firefighters' Fall 5K & 10K

An annual race through one of Georgia's premier historic districts, benefitting Madison's Volunteer Fire Department. The course is an out and back - very fast, and run entirely on paved streets. Second weekend in October. Registration required.

Downtown Chili Cook-off & Fall Festival

Caroling By Candlelight

Our annual parade puts everyone in a festive mood. Follow the parade to Town Park where Main Street hosts Caroling By Candlelight. This free community celebration has Santa and Mrs. Clause visiting with kids while community members entertain the crowd with traditional Christmas music.
