Called Meetings & Work Sessions
The Mayor may convene the City Council whenever in his opinion the public business requires it. Three members of the City Council constitute a quorum. The City Clerk is responsible for providing requisite public notice.

Official Records
The City Clerk maintains the official record of the Mayor and City Council. Official records are available at City Hall. To inspect the records, schedule an appointment with the city clerk. To receive an official copy of records,  submit a completed Open Records Request Form to the City Clerk. The City of Madison provides online access as a service to the citizens of Madison, and documents online are made available for the convenience of the public. Every effort is made to keep information provided online accurate and up-to-date. Even so, the City Clerk’s Office may have revised or additional information that is not posted online.
